Fellowship and Internship Programs
CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service (SFS)
CyberCorps (R): Scholarship For Service (SFS) is a unique program designed to increase and strengthen the cadre of federal information assurance professionals that protect the government's critical information infrastructure. This program provides scholarships that may fully fund the typical costs incurred by full-time students while attending a participating institution, including tuition and education and related fees. Additionally, participants receive stipends of $22,500 for undergraduate students and $34,000 for graduate students.
Pathways
The Federal Government has taken steps to help students and recent graduates join the Federal service. New opportunities will appear on USAJOBS as agencies post them. You should visit this site periodically, or set up a saved search.
Pathways Programs internships and jobs are posted on USAJOBS. You can search for these opportunities from the Pathways Programs site. You can also use the advanced search feature and select internships or recent graduates under the Type of Work or Work Schedule.
Even though Pathways Program jobs are posted on USAJOBS, you may not be always able to apply online. If the Apply Online button is missing or disabled, review the How to Apply section of the job opportunity announcement – it will contain application instructions or career fair details.
Presidential Management Fellows (PMF)
The PMF Program accepts applications annually. When the application window opens typically in the fall, you will find an announcement on USAJOBS (search for "Presidential Management Fellows" at www.USAJOBS.gov). You should review the entire Become A PMF section of this website, including the Frequently Asked Questions.
Applying to the Program is only the first step in becoming a PMF. During the application process, you must take an on-line assessment, submit a resume and transcript, and complete the on-line essays. Applicants will be further evaluated for selection as Semi-Finalists and invited to participate in the in-person assessment. Top performing Semi-Finalists will be named as Finalists. Finalists are eligible for appointment as a Fellow with a participating agency.

National Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE)
The Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Operations Summer Intern Program (CAE-Cyber Ops Summer Intern Program) is the National Security Agency's (NSA) premier outreach program for students enrolled in the Cyber Operations specialization at NSA-designated universities.
Department of Defense’s SMART (Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation) Program
The Science, Mathematics And Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program has been established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing technical degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
